The Allmans and The Dead Together Again With the Message of Change

In the heat of this historical election musicians, artists and others are coming together to show their support. The surviving members of The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers reunited this past Monday to bring about the message of change in the form of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. A combined 15,000 tickets were sold to college students, older hippies and veteran fans to attend this nostalgic performance. With a 20 minute intermission consisting of a message from the well renown Penn State football team to advocate the countries youth to get out and vote and a pre-taped message from Barack Obama thanking The Dead and everyone for coming out.

The show lasted a shade over five hours and was packed with hits from beginning to end. Promotional concerts are happening on a daily basis in these tense times and the task to obtain tickets to concerts like this one can be quite arduous, but well worth it. This concert brought people of all ages together with a classic performance in the name of change.
