Now that were all through the starting gate of 2009, Rock is planning on making a comeback. Whether its attempting to redeem themselves after failed past albums, or trying to revive the genre as a whole, Rock artists are hoping 2009 is more gentle than years past. - Green Day (Looking to continue their cult in the Pop/Rock world)
- Hoobastank (Trying to make fans forget about last release)
- Killswitch Engage (Trying to write an album that can compete with their live shows)
- Courtney Love (Attempting to gain some respect for herself)
- Mudvayne (Wants to be sole holders of NuMetal genre)
- Pearl Jam (Continuing to connect classic with present)
- Queens of the Stone Age (New album is titled Desert Orgy In The Dark
need I say more?)

With all these big names coming out with new material, 09 will be an interesting year in music. Well just have to be patient as some of these releases are due to come out later in the year. Lets see what happens
