Favre O’ Favre: Welcome to Minnesota

Favre O’ Favre: Welcome to Minnesota

Well, well, well…  It has been announced that Mr. Brett Favre will be coming back – again – as a Minnesota VikingPro Football Talk has reported that Favre has indeed signed a contract with the Vikings and that the team is waiting to announce the news.  Now, since it hasn’t been officially announced skeptics are still wondering if this is all true.  Sports By Brooks breaks down the supporting evidence quite well.

-    Vikings trainer has visited Favre to check out his arm.
-    Brad Childress wanted to see Brett in some off-season workouts.
-    Vikings have given Reebok the “OK” to start making the purple #4’s.

With Reebok making the jerseys for Brett already; I’d say the deal is done.  I just can’t emphasize it enough of how sorry I am for the poor fans of this promising franchise.  It’s a mirror image of the Jets last year as the Vikings are looking for a little luck along with their solid defense and of course Adrian Peterson to make a run to the post-season.  Nevertheless, Favre just can’t cut it anymore.  No movement outside the pocket, the arm just isn’t what it used to be and lastly his age.  I was the number one Favre advocate this time last year as I though he was the savior for my New York Propellers but I can’t set off a large enough flair to worn the people of Minnesota… I wish you all the best of luck in your new endeavor, as for me, I’m all about Sanchez!

Hope he plays like he did as a Jet. An overpriced bum.

Let’s see…he’s WAY past his prime, he’s overpaid, and now he wants revenge? What else does he expect - a ring? It’s a disgrace not only to himself, but the league as a whole.

  3. I’m still a bit hesitant to believe this. Not because of Favre’s wishy washy on again off again style. Rather I find this a bit tough to believe that Ziggy and Childress are buying in to his ability to play QB in the NFL. I always liked Favre and I think he belongs in the hall of fame no doubt about that. However, an old and rapidly deteriorating Favre cannot be better that T-Jack or ol’ Sage. The Vikes didn’t need to sell tickets so why take the risk. Only one way this makes sense, if Favre tutors T-Jack and gets him ready for 2010 and the jersey sales skyrocket…..

Enough already Brett.. hang em up.. you killed the Jets last year as you will kill the Vikes this year.. it is called AGE.. your feet and your arm strength are slower than your brain.
