In-Game Tweeting: Not In The NFL

In-Game Tweeting: Not In The NFL

The NBA and its players were sure to involve Twitter and Tweeting into their larger image.  From Shaq to Dwight Howard, in-game tweets were not a rarity during this past season.  Now that the football season is crawling up upon us, Roger Goodell has reported that he will have no tolerance for athletes posting tweets during a game.  This seems like a pretty fair thing to request as a commissioner - simply wants the players to play the game and not have their heads in the wrong places.  However, there lies such a player that would undoubtedly seek to break this rule by all means necessary…  Of coarse I’m talking about Chad Johnson aka Ochocinco.

Chad Johnson is quite upset with this new rule as he had every intention to tweet in between huddels.  He is quoted, “Damn the NFL and these rules, I am going by my own set of rules, I ain’t hurting nobody or getting in trouble, I am putting my foot down!“(NBC Sports).  I can’t say that I’m surprised by this but, it is a little ridiculous.  Chad didn’t have a year to brag about by any means, nor is he in any position to be stirring up the comish at this point in the year.

For those of you who would like to follow Chad Johnson and his special way’s on Twitter, his account name is OGOchoCinco and he is quite the active Tweeter.
