Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game yesterday which has put the icing on the cake for his impressive resume. Now to accompany a no-hitter, this perfect game should really hoist Buehrle into the spotlight as he has been somewhat under the radar throughout his career. However, yesterday’s game did have quite the scare at the start of the 9th inning for Buehrle as the 2-2 pitch was scorched into the left-center sky. What happens next was definitely as much of a highlight as the pitching clinic that Mark put on throughout the night. Dewayne Wise got one of the best jumps off the bat that I’ve seen this season and managed to reach up and snag the ball down both preventing a solo home run and saving the perfect game.
